Newsletter: 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)

Dear parishioners of St Margaret’s

I hope that you all managed to have some rest and holiday over the summer despite all the difficulties presented..

Now that the new academic year has started, I would like to inform you about what is happening here at St Margaret’s. The building work is progressing but almost inevitably the completion date has been put back four weeks to mid-October. Issues with the supply of materials and some constructional difficulties on site are the main reasons for the delay but the wait will be worthwhile.

In the meantime, mainstream parish life is being to re-awake after lying low for nearly eighteen months. May I ask you to read the newsletter about the many forms this reawakening is taking. A specific weekend the 15th-17th October is being arranged for a communal reboot, with Praise and Worship evening, talk and lunch and Sunday Mass and Family Lunch afterwards, all taking place in the refurbished Hall. More details are in the newsletter

The newsletter also includes details about the parish sacramental courses as well as requests for sacristans and readers.

Thank you for your support of the Parish especially over the last eighteen months. I do not suppose many of us would have thought the pandemic would last that long, and even now we are still living with the aftereffects.

Please note that bookings are no longer required for the 10:30am Mass.

I look forward to meeting in person over the next few months.

With good wishes
Fr Peter
