Newsletter: Second Sunday of Advent
We know it is a busy time of the year, but please remember to make time for prayer and save the dates of events happening at our church over advent.
Tea 'n Chat - Wednesday, 13th December
Enjoy warmth and good company here at St Margaret’s at our much loved “Tea & Chat”. Join us for our last tea this year on Wednesday, 13th December from 1.45 pm – 3.15 pm. All are welcome. Please feel free to bring along a friend or a neighbour.
Advent Penance Service - Wednesday 13th December, 7.00 pm
We will be holding a penance service on Wednesday 13th December at 7.00 pm for a prayerful opportunity to prepare for Christmas The Sacrament of Reconciliation, with guest Confessors, will be available.
The Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed presenting ‘Shine your Light’ on Saturday 16th December 2023 at 8.00 pm in the Church Hall. ‘Shine your Light’ is an initiative of the National day of Prayer and Worship in which all denominations join together for praise and worship and to spread the Gospel. There will be readings and reflections suitable for advent and refreshments will be served.
Singers needed
We need singers for the Children’s choir for the Christmas Eve Mass at 5.00 pm. If you are interested please contact Cynthia in the parish office.
We also need singers for the Christmas Eve Mass at 9.00 pm. If you are interested in joining please contact Gavin on gavin.evenhuis@gmail.com for further information on rehearsals and other arrangements.
