Ten years after, retired in Whitton, he is a trustee of the Balfour Project (www.balfourproject.org) a charity looking back at Britain’s responsibilities in what today is Israel/Palestine, and exploring what Britain should do now for the best.

His theme is the dwindling Christian Palestine presence in the Holy Land - and how we here can help to sustain it.
