Lenten Project 2020
Sadly, fundraising opportunities for this year’s Lenten Project were curtailed due to the lockdown. However, thanks to the generosity of many parishioners, £4,725 was raised through donations and has been split between the two charities that were chosen: Medical Missionaries of Mary for their health clinic in Malawi, and ZANE, Zimbabwe A National Emergency, towards their work with impoverished communities.
Thank you.

Churches for the People
St Margaret’s was featured – and with photos on the cover – in an article in the 1st August issue of The Tablet. The article refers to the close collaboration between the priest, people and the architect during the design and build, all steeped in Vatican II teaching on the liturgy. “The design of the complex allows the drama of the liturgy to lead effortlessly to the drama of community …. “ and as the partition slides open after 10:30 Mass, it allows for a “seamless transition from sacred to community space”. The article is written by Elena Curti and references her book, Fifty Catholic Churches to See Before You Die, due to be published in September.

Finally, please note there has been a slight change to the Mass schedule published last week. Fr Tim is unable to say Mass on Friday 21st August as planned and as Fr Peter is in isolation, there will be no public mass.  He will say Mass alone and parishioners will only be able to join online. The link will be posted on the home page of the website on Friday morning.
